What "vehicle-dimension routing" actually does

It is a fair question – the phrase appears on plenty of boxes. On every device in this table it means the routing engine takes the height, width, length and weight you enter and genuinely plans around them: low bridges are excluded from the route, weight-restricted roads and bridges are avoided, and lanes that are legal for a car but miserable when towing are down-ranked. That is the difference from a car sat nav or a phone app, which will happily send a 3 m-tall outfit under a 2.8 m bridge. A device that only showed campsite icons on ordinary car routing would not make this table.
